Alva Surveyors are one of the fastest growing home insulation surveyors in the UK.
Our staff are fully trained in undertaking the surveys necessary to see if you home can be insulated under current government grant schemes.
Our surveyors cover almost all of the UK. They will arrive at your home by prior agreement at an agreed time and date, they will begin the survey subject to access. All of our surveyors carry identification and operate to a strict Code of Conduct.
Once the survey is complete, we can advise on the work required and the cost, as well as any grant* you can apply for to alleviate the cost. When we have processed that for you, we hand over to an approved and experienced installation team to complete the work.James
If you do not qualify for a 100% insulation grant, you will still qualify for an insulation grant to cover somewhere between 40% and 70% of the total installation cost. All homeowners & those in rented accommodation are eligible. As a householders you will have to pay a contribution towards the cost. Under normal circumstances this cost will be recouped within one or two years from the savings made on your fuel bills.

Loft & Cavity Wall Insulation & Renewable Energy Grants For Homeowners and Those In Rented Property.
Loft Insulation grants have restrictions on the depth of insulation already in your loft. On the 100% schemes, if you are 70 or over, and you have more than about 60mm (2.5 inches) of loft insulation, you may only qualify for a partial grant.
If you receive a benefit, the restrictions vary depending on the scheme and the area you live in. An existing depth of up to 100mm (4 inches) is typically allowed on the partial grant schemes.
Low Carbon Grants
The Department if Energy & Climate Change (DECC) low carbon buildings programme provides grants for householders
Grants are available for microgeneration technologies including: solar photovoltaic, wind turbines, small scale hydro, solar water heating, heat pumps and bioenergy.
